So day 6 dawns nice and bright and we finally drag ourselves to the car to visit Australia Zoo YAYY!!
things are looking up thinks mum (famous last thoughts I've had before!) so off we drive, arriving 1/2 an hour before our anticipated arrival time, find a nice 'big'park with lots of empty spaces nearby and spend the next 5-10 mins maneuvering the truck to get it 'just right' in our park for easy exiting. out we hop nice and relaxed taking our time sorting ourselves out for a nice long busy day :D we parked right next to 'Steve's Croc unit truck" so took our time some more, helped another family get a family photo, and lined up for our own. (they did offer to reciprocate if you're wondering)
Unfortunately that's about as far as we got, we headed off to the entrance, went to the cashier "that'll be $203 thanks" and swipe the card, *fail* the bloke whispers to me "that 51 message means insufficient funds" "whaaa??!" says mum "oh ok here's $103 and try again" *fail* "uummm that's not good! c'mon kids we need to call the bank" says a slightly confused mum. Kaytie walks straight through the gate and mummy has to call her back :( Now you can just imagine the scene, one parent, 5 children (who in my opinion only vaguely look similar) turning around at the very busy entrance with bewildered children asking "What's wrong mum?, why aren't we going in? I thought you said we were going to the zoo today?" If i still cared about that sort of thing i would have been extremely embaressed!! So we walked the 'mile of shame' :P back to the car with some still slightly confused children and a slightly rattled mummy wondering where all the money had gone???? So we get back to our perfectly parked truck load up our perfectly sorted bags and stroller and get back in for the drive back to 'Aunty' Karens, whom by the way had only re-united with 'the love of her life' after being apart for 2 weeks that morning (is that right Karen?? i can't remember, the days are getting fuzzy, :) you'll have to correct me in the comments!) So we head back, but along the way we made a few pit stops, we stopped for a photo of Mt Tibrogargan. Most of you have probably seen it, but it is this BIG (ahh the focus of our trip!) rock/mountain kinda in the middle of 'nowhere' flat, flat, tree, field, flat, trees, BOOM! mountain! flat, flat, tree, field, trees, etc, etc.
Also along the way we also saw this

| See the red car behind the sign? it was pretty big! though Samuel wasn't overly impressed by it authenticity :) |
We did see it on the way there and thought 'Meh, maybe on the way back??' but on the way back....... well my mind was on other things!! ;)
so we dropped in for a little food shopping and headed back to Karen's where i valiantly tried for the rest of the afternoon to keep the children quiet and downstairs - honest Karen i did!! :)
Oh yes and i found out what was going on with the bank account, seems i forgot that I'd transferred $500 out for a new account, plus mortgage repayments , 3 lots of fuel in a week and a half at about $270ea a pop (long range tank) and various other withdrawals I'd not really thought about equalled a very low bank balance :) - lesson learned -pay more attention and check online before we go out for the day.
