plus it's a little overwhelming thinking about all the posts i SHOULD have done. so i have decided to let them all go and just go from here - you cool with that?? sorry best i can do if you're not ;)
So, today we went Ice Skating! I haven't been since i was in Gr 6! so it was definitely a treat for all. yep even Sophie got to try it out!!
it was so cute that they had walkers - or should that be sliders/ - for the littlies to use
without the walker...well i didnt' fall over at all but was definitely not graceful!!
I did have a run in with poor Kaytie though. I got too cocky and came in too fast (even though it was not much faster than snails pace.) and crashed into her and her walker and we both toppled over. I ended up with a bruise, she ended up with a belly laugh :D I gave up after that as Sophie had quit earlier too.
After Sophie's attempt she spent the rest of the time playing with her new friend "R" who happens to be 5 days younger than her. He is the little brother of Samuel's new friend "K" Bonus is they only live about 10mins away from us!! . We are still putting out feelers for closer friends for the other girls since moving up the hill, but no meetings yet. Sadly 2 of our closest friends have decided to return their children to school for various reasons. So that was 9 of our dear friends "gone" (yep more big families)
We were supposed to meet a bunch of other HS's today but it was only the one other family who turned up. So maybe next week?? Anyway enough of that.
The outing was a resounding success, with lots of "we HAVE to come back here! Can we come next week?!?!?!" thankfully it's organised fortnightly at least until term 2, but at the minimum, i think we'd need to push it to monthly.
After some wonderful spills and exciting thrills watching "proper" skaters whizz by. we got to see the Zamboni in action.
LOL silly me asked if they had Coke at the cafe, despite Pepsi signs plastered around the whole place :D
11 days to go!!!! can't wait!!
