I thought Chrissy photos would be nicer.
Christmas Eve - we lego'd our little hearts out and....
Kaytie made her own batman-esque flying/sailing/driving creation and lastly Samuel started with instructions, but wasn't impressed with square wheels (who would be??) and improvised and improved.
I can't seem to find the link for the instructions anymore, maybe you need to login to lego club?? they do a monthly set + all the archives in an easy, intermediate and hard. will endeavour to find it and post on our HS page :)
So next up was the 'big' day itself
Clairebear and Sophie slept in until about 9ish, while the big kids were all up at about 5:30-6.
(They are allowed to see what 'Santa' has brought them.) Usually this has meant that Daddy is outside in the yard/paddock doing jobs until 9:30- 10 ish, I think we waited til 11 one year?, (which used to be AGONY for the cousins when they lived next door) but this year we have no paddock, Daddy had no jobs, though he was contemplating servicing the truck.. until the weather warmed up. ;) We had a nice breakfast of croissants, got the washing up done, kitchen tidied and everyone ready. Oh yes and a couple of phone calls in between.
We opened our parcel from G'ma Lesley first as she called at that moment.
LOL i'll let the photos speak from now on......
So when we finished talking to G'ma Lesley, every one went down'step' and waited patiently for Daddy to hand out the pressies.
First up.. something for everybody... a new boardgame !
Than Lily
Sophie's turn
Clairebear next
Kaytie...
and last but not least, Samuel.
And so it went around and around, with the children reminding Daddy to slow down, because we only gift one child at a time. rather than a flurry of paper and noise.
Oh yes, Daddy too
We had a beautiful day, just the 7 of us, we enjoyed hot roast vegies and 3 different cold meats (cooked the day before) and the BEST creamy mushroom pasta I've EVER made! While Sophie was in bed, we all played our new boardgame (pictionary) and than mummy and daddy (mostly) had a nap, while the children happily played with their new toys or watched xmas movies. All in the comfort of 24 degree air con, while outside was a scorching 39! how do i know how hot it was?? midway we had to hang out a load of washing..... aren't i glad Jamie made me a clothesline undercover!!
Hope your day was as stressfree and perfect as ours,

Looks like a lovely Christmas...and from what I could see the new house is lovely too.
Oooh those W.A. temperatures sound icky. Here it's just raining, raining and for a change still raining. Ahh but the temperatures are the most pleasant Christmas temps ever!
We just got home from a trip to my Mum and Dad's. Spent ALL afternoon unpacking and washing and restoring order to the house.
Looking forward to these house photos. I'm a sucker for house photos.
